4. Payments and Video Providers
Payments are processed by Stripe. Lernkit receives payment status, transaction identifiers, and limited order information needed to confirm access and support purchases. We do not store full payment card numbers on Lernkit servers.
Video delivery may use providers such as Mux. Video providers may process playback identifiers, device data, IP address, and technical logs needed to stream video, troubleshoot playback, and protect access.
5. Cookies, Local Storage, and Region Signals
Lernkit may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed into access, remember course progress, maintain checkout state, improve performance, and protect the site from abuse.
We may also use approximate location signals, such as country or region headers from hosting or security providers, to choose language, apply access rules, show region-appropriate pages, and protect campaign-specific landing pages.
6. How We Share Information
| Service providers | Vendors that help with payment processing, video hosting, hosting, security, email, analytics, customer support, and operations. |
|---|---|
| Legal and safety | Authorities, advisors, or affected parties when required by law or needed to protect rights, safety, security, or the integrity of Lernkit. |
| Business changes | Relevant information may be transferred if Lernkit is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or asset sale. |
| Consent | Other parties when you ask us to share information or give us permission. |
We do not knowingly sell personal information for money. We also do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will update this Policy and provide any required choices.
7. Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide access, support purchases, maintain learning progress, resolve disputes, comply with law, prevent fraud, and operate Lernkit. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and the reason it is kept.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain uses of your personal information. You may also have the right to appeal a decision or opt out of certain processing where required by law.
You can make a request by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
9. California, EEA, and UK Notices
California residents and users in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom may have additional privacy rights under applicable law. Lernkit will honor valid requests where those laws apply to our processing.
Our legal bases for processing, where required, may include providing the service, performing a contract, legitimate interests, consent, legal compliance, and protection of rights and security.
10. Children and Students
Lernkit is not directed to children under 13. If a student is under the age of majority, a parent or legal guardian should supervise purchases, advisory requests, and use of the service. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us.
11. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so you should use strong email account protections and contact us if you believe your access has been compromised.
12. International Use
Lernkit may process information in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from the laws where you live.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Lernkit changes. The effective date above shows when the current version became effective. Material changes will be posted on this page or communicated where required by law.
